A slow site its owner couldn't keep up with
The client came to me with a site he had built himself on WordPress. With full-time obligations and limited website-building experience, it had grown architectural problems: slow, unresponsive, and sitting on aging technology. He wanted to hand it to someone who knew that world, without giving up control of his own content.
From WordPress to a custom Vite + React app
I re-architected the legacy PHP/WordPress site into a performant web app with React, Contentful and Framer Motion. The result is a faster UI, modern animation, and a streamlined CMS that leaves him in full control of his assets and copy, while the foundation underneath is built properly.
What changed
A modern front end
A Vite + React build in place of PHP templates: quick to load, responsive on every screen, and easy to extend.
Motion with intent
Framer Motion transitions that make the site feel current without getting in the way of the content.
His content, his call
Contentful as the CMS, so he edits pages and swaps images himself, with no code and no WordPress upkeep.
A clean hand-off
A solid foundation built by someone who knows the field, so the site can grow without starting over.
